“Bad Newz” is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed by Anand Tiwari. Produced by Amazon Prime, Dharma Productions, and Leo Media Collective, the film is inspired by true events and features Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk in the lead roles. Serving as a spiritual sequel to the 2019 film “Good Newz,” the story revolves around heteropaternal superfecundation, a rare reproductive phenomenon where twins are born to the same mother but have different biological fathers.
The principal photography for the film took place between March 2022 and July 2023. “Bad Newz” movie is Dharma Productions and was released theatrically on July 19, 2024, and has grossed over ₹115.74 crore (US$14 million) worldwide against a budget of ₹80 crore (US$9.6 million), making it the seventh highest-grossing Hindi film of 2024.

Development:
The film’s post-production completion was announced by Karan Johar in March 2024. Initially titled “Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam,” it was later renamed “Bad Newz.” The total budget, including marketing costs, was ₹80 crore.
Filming:
Principal photography began in March 2022 and concluded in July 2023. The song “Rabb Warga” was filmed at various exotic locations in Croatia.
