Production:
Filming for “Vedaa” began on June 20, 2023, in Rajasthan, and was completed in Kashmir in December 2023. On July 25, 2024, the filmmakers expressed concerns on social media about the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) not having screened the film, despite the application being submitted a month earlier. It was later revealed that the CBFC’s Examining Committee had viewed the film on June 22 but did not provide feedback to the makers until June 25, when the film was referred to the Revising Committee. The Revising Committee screened the film on July 29, leading to the deletion of 9.14 minutes and the implementation of certain changes. After these modifications, “Vedaa” received a U/A certificate on August 6, 2024, with a final runtime of 150 minutes.
